When you receive credit report, check the following information in the order of importance:
- your full name, and any previous names, also paying attention to the middle initials and suffixes like Jr., III and so on
- Social Security number
- lawsuits, liens, bankruptcy information
- entire credit history, starting with active or current accounts
- current and previous address
- employment history if shown
- marriages, divorces
If you find something incorrect contact credit reporting agencies to start repairing wrong information as soon as possible.
