Outstanding limits and judgements

Q: How can I find out if there are any outstanding liens and judgements against me?
A: If you want to see if there are any liens against your property, check with your county Recorder of Deeds office. Many counties around the country have now online access for free so you can check if there are any liens. To print, there is a dollar per page charge or something to that extent. Or you just walk in.
Judgements are also posted on your credit report, so it is a good idea to get a copy. If someone tries to garnish your wages or bank accounts, you must be notified about it.
