The key is to start working on stopping foreclosure before it starts. Once the mill start milling, there isn't often much what you can do. The best way is to work with your lender on to modify your mortgage as soon as you sense that troubles are imminent.
Mortgage Modification is the process when the lender works out a new mortgage agreement with you to make it affordable. This is the buzz word now, the hottest term and is being used before your loan becomes delinquent. The surest way to stop foreclosure process before it starts. Call your lender customer service and explain the situation, and hopefully they will take it from there. The chances for Mortgage Modification are very high, since lenders have already too many homes unsold on foreclosure auctions in their possession.
