Florida wage garnishment statute protects main bread winner
You if live in Florida and you are the head of household, your wages can not be garnished, according to Florida Statutes ยง222.11. It is called head of family exemption. What is more, the amount of wages protected is unlimited. As long as you spend more than 50% supporting your dependants, your wages are exempt from any and all garnishment.
