Previously settled debt letter for bill collectors
If you settled a debt with the creditor or a bill collector but still are getting debt collection calls, this is the letter to send. With hundreds of thousands of noncollectable debt sold to junk debt buyers, you almost certain to receive few more collection calls from different bill collectors, even though you have already settled the debt with the original creditor or another bill collector. Such a previously settled debt letter is intended for pesky bill collectors to warn them stop calling.

Enclosed, please find copies of my debt settlement letter with the above company and proof of payment. You now have proof that this debt is no longer collectable, therefore I demand that you stop calling me regarding this debt, AND remove this account, and all references to my personal information, from your records.
I do not expect to hear from you ever again regarding this collection, and if you make further debt collection efforts, I will consider it a serious violation of the law and will immediately report you and your company to my State Attorney General and to the Federal Trade Commission and, should it become necessary, take legal action to protect my myself.
