Checking Account Overdraft Protection - Avoid Bank Overdraft Fees
Checking account overdraft protection can be enabled with ease if you have a savings account in the same bank. Call you bank and ask them to set up an automatic overdraft protection by drawing funds from your savings account. This way you will avoid paying the overdraft fees ranging from $30 to $50 per day as of lately. Your checking account will remain in good standing, and you won't be getting those nasty letters from your bank telling you to pay those crazy fees. If your bank doesn't allow for this option or you have no savings account there, a similar protection can be arranged using a credit card. This has to be a card issued by your bank - ask them if they let you draw from a credit card to avoid fees.
