FDIC insurance limits

Q: How much is the FDIC limit now?
A: FDIC insurance limit is at least $250,000 through December 31, 2013, part of the Helping Families Save their Homes Act of 2009, signed by president Obama on May 20. Earlier, this level of coverage was set to expire December 31, 2009.
