Statute of limitations in Illinois has not changed

Q: I heard that statute of limitations in Illinois has recently changed, both on debt and judgement? Can you confirm? This is quite important for me. I need to get that right .. thanks.
A: No, to the best of our knowledge either Illinois statute of limitations is still the same, just as it has been for some time. Statute for oral contract is 5 years, for written contract is 10 years, for promissory note is 6 years and for open-ended account is 5 years. Statute of limitations on judgement is 20 years. See Illinois statute of limitations on debt.
