Credit Report Dispute Letters

Here's how the credit report dispute letters work... First you got to get your credit reports from all three credit agencies. My suggestion to you is try to dispute every item that look suspicious. Call the creditors or companies that reported the item and ask them to remove it from your credit report. If they agree they will send you a letter confirming that they've requested the Credit Agencies to remove the items. Now, you will need to mail or fax your own credit report dispute letters to the Credit Agencies with theirs attached. It is always better to confirm it yourself than to simply rely on creditors.

There could be many things that you can dispute on your credit report... Here you'll find some real life examples of what people found in their credit reports... and successfully removed using the dispute letters.
