Internal Revenue Service will outsource debt collection

At least three private-sector companies are about to get a contract from IRS to help with unpaid tax collection. Yep, debt collection agencies at your government service. And the biggest worry some are saying, is how safe your personal information will be. All the contractors must be in US which is nice. I thought they would send everything to India or Russia. Also on the plus side is that once the investigation is completed on a given individual, meaning I guess the debt is collected, the honorable contractors must purge the data about this given someone. Boy, I am already feeling better. And just in case "the contractor isn't able to immediately purge this data, they are responsible for protecting that data from unauthorized inspections or disclosures". Ya, right ...
